How would you define yourself?
Dress and Fashion Historian, Costume Designer
Please describe yourself and your areas of interest.
I previously worked in the fashion media sector but left to transfer into a more creative field. In 2025 I completed an MA in Historical Costume and intend to combine further academic study with work as a costume designer. My areas of interest are fashion, dress and costume history, textiles, medieval material culture and sustainable fashion.
Why did you become a Companion of the Guild?
I admire both Ruskin's work as an art historian and his commitment to social justice. In addition, I was born and raised in Sheffield and thus (as a regular vistor to Sheffield museums) benefited from the Ruskin collection. I would like to "pay it forward" so to speak and help the guild continue its work.
